SHEBOYGAN CHILDREN AND TEEN’S BOOK FEST TO FEATURE ANGELA DOMINGUEZ AND JUSTIN ROBERTS
Sheboygan (March 29, 2018) - Sheboygan County Reads!, the non-profit organization which promotes the love of books and reading among local young people, has revealed two more presenters for the 2018 Sheboygan Children and Teen’s Book Festival. The book festival, set to take place October 12-14, will include Angela Dominguez and Justin Roberts.
Angela Dominguez is the author and illustrator of numerous books for children including Maria Had a Little Llama, which received the American Library Association Pura Belpré Illustration Honor. In 2016, she received her second Pura Belpré Honor for her illustrations in Mango, Abuela, and Me (written by Meg Medina). Her debut middle grade novel, Stella Díaz Has Something to Say, was published in January 2018.
Boasting a career as a three-time GRAMMY nominated songwriter, musician, and picture book author, Justin Roberts is a favorite of the indie family music scene. Robert’s CDs have received eight Parents' Choice Gold awards and he has performed from Hong Kong to New York, and Miami to Seattle. Roberts has been creating the soundtrack to families' lives, helping kids navigate the joys and sorrows of growing up and helping parents remember their own childhoods. His newest picture book is The Great Henry Hopendower.
Angela Dominguez and Justin Roberts will be appearing along with the previously announced author/illustrator Grace Lin.
