10 years...Now that's OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Sheboygan County Reads!, the non-profit organization which promotes the love of books and reading among local youngsters and teens, is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.

To commemorate this special occasion, we needed to think outside of the box for this year's theme. A theme that felt "Out of This World." This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Sheboygan Children & Teen’s Book Festival and the power of books to transport us beyond our known world to explore other places, people, and ideas -- whether they be real or imaginary.

This three-day children and teen's book festival provides an opportunity for area youth and their families to explore and discover stories by interacting with the authors, illustrators, and musicians who create them.

Events taking place throughout the weekend include author readings, art making with illustrators, writing workshops, costumed book characters, book signings, a bedtime pajama concert, a magic show, and author trading cards.

The 2019 poster illustration was created especially for the book festival by one of this year’s author/illustrators, Sergio Ruzzier. The illustration features imaginative out of this world creatures that are listening to a book read aloud. Read more about Sergio Ruzzier here.
